The sun may be shining in Wicklow today but there sure ain't any heat in it. It is FREEZING out there. This is when we have to be extra vigilant and mindful of our elderly neighbours. Slippy icy pathways etc. might be fun for the kids but it has quite the opposite effect on our older folk.
So please please please make sure the more vulnerable in your area are warm enough and have enough fuel and groceries in so that they won't have to venture out by themselves.
This cold spell is expected to continue well into next week and you just don't know how a quick 'how are you?' could make a huge difference.
